How to Upload ISO Files to Datastore in VMware ESXi 6.7/VMware ESXi 6.5?
Adding or uploading ISO files to Datastore on VMware ESXi may seem a little complicated for beginners. However, copying ISO files into VMware ESXi is quite simple.
In the previous article, we created a virtual machine with VMware ESXi 6.7/6.5. In this article, we will upload the ISO file required for the Windows 7 virtual machine we created on VMware ESXi.

How to Copy ISO Files into Datastore on VMware ESXi 6.7/VMware ESXi 6.5?
Follow the steps below in order to copy the ISO file into VMware ESXi.
Connect to your VMware ESXi server and click on the Storage option on the main screen.
Click the Datastore Browser that you see on the right.
Once you have opened the Datastore Browser, click on the Upload button as you see in the image below.
To add ISO files to VMware ESXi 6.7/6.5, select the operating system ISO file in the Choose File to Upload window and click the Open button.
Wait while the Windows 7 ISO file is being uploaded…
After uploading the Windows 7 ISO file, close the Datastore Browser window by clicking on the Close button.
Click Edit to open the virtual machine settings you previously created on VMware ESXi.
To add the ISO file to the Windows 7 virtual machine on VMware ESXi 6.7/6.5, select Datastore ISO File from CD/DVD Drive 1.
In the Datastore Browser window, select the ISO file you have added and click the Select button.
After adding the Windows 7 ISO file to the VMware ESXi virtual machine, click on the Save button.
Now you can run the Windows 7 virtual machine and perform the installation.
As you can see in the image below, after you add the ISO file, Windows 7 virtual machine installation will start!
