Creating a new virtual machine with VMware Fusion 10 Pro includes very simple steps. With VMware Fusion 10 Pro you can set up the following operating systems;
- Microsoft Windows
- Apple OS X
- Novell NetWare
- VMware ESX
How to Create a New Virtual Machine on MacOS using VMware Fusion 10 Pro?
Follow the steps below to create a new virtual machine using VMware Fusion 10 Pro on MacOS High Sierra 10.13 and add the operating system ISO file to be installed.
Double-click on the VMware Fusion icon and run the program. For VMware Fusion virtual machine setup, click Create a custom virtual machine in the Select the Installation Method window.
Continue by clicking the Continue button.
To install Windows 10 on MacOS High Sierra, in the Choose Operating System window, select Microsoft Windows/Windows 10 and click Continue.
In the Choose Firmware Type window, select UEFI to install Windows 10 UEFI and click Continue.
For the Windows 10 virtual machine, in the Choose a Virtual Disk window, select Create a new virtual disk and click Continue.
After the VMware Fusion 10 Pro virtual machine installation is complete, click the Customize Settings button to import the operating system ISO file.
Type the new virtual machine name and click the Save button.
Click on the CD/DVD device.
To add the ISO file to the Windows 10 virtual machine CD/DVD device, click Choose a disc or disc image from the dropdown menu.
Select the location where the operating system ISO image is located and click on the Open button to complete the operation.
The virtual machine has been created on VMware Fusion 10 Pro. You can now start and install Windows 10 installation on MacOS.
