In this article, we will install Wine 3.17 on Linux Mint 19 TaraLinux Mint 18.3 Sylvia Cinnamon 64 bit. To install Wine on Linux Mint:

  1. On the Linux Mint desktop, open the Terminal.
  2. For Linux Mint Wine installation, execute the following commands in Terminal respectively.
  • sudo dpkg –add-architecture i386
  • wget -nc https://dl.winehq.org/wine-builds/Release.key
  • sudo apt-add-repository ‘deb https://dl.winehq.org/wine-builds/ubuntu/ xenial main’ (Linux Mint 18)
  • sudo apt-add-repository ‘deb https://dl.winehq.org/wine-builds/ubuntu/ bionic main’ (Linux Mint 19)
  • sudo apt-get update
  • sudo apt-get install –install-recommends winehq-devel
