How to Install Windows 7 in Hyper-V Manager?
Before you install Windows operating system with Hyper-V, you should definitely create a new virtual machine. Creating a new virtual machine with Hyper-V is easy and simple. Hyper-V is available as a feature in Windows 8, 8.1 and 10 operating systems.

After performing the Hyper-V Manager installation, we will install Windows 7 Ultimate operating system step by step by creating a new virtual machine.

How to Install Windows 7 using Hyper-V on Windows 10?
Follow the steps below for installing Windows 7 on Hyper-V Manager.
Start Hyper-V Manager on Windows 10.
On Hyper-V, click Actions and then click Virtual Machine.
To install the operating system in a different location, select the Store the virtual machine in a different location option, then specify the location you want to install and click Next to continue .
In the Hyper-V Generation window, select Generation 1 and click Next.
Depending on your physical computer, you can set a high RAM value for the operating system to be installed. If your computer has 8 GB or 16 RAM, you can specify 4096 (4 GB) RAM for the Windows 7 virtual machine.
After completing the virtual machine RAM setting, click on the Next button.
Since the Windows 7 virtual machine network adapter is not defined, click Next to continue the installation.
For the Windows 7 virtual machine, you only need to specify the 30 GB Hard Disk size. Click Next to continue.
After downloading the Windows 7 Ultimate operating system ISO file from your computer, add the ISO file into Hyper-V Installation Options window and click on the Next button.
After successfully creating a Windows 7 virtual machine using Hyper-V, click Finish to skip the virtual machine’s summary information.
To start Windows 7 setup on Hyper-V, connect to the virtual machine with the Connect option.
Click the Start button to start the Windows 7 operating system installation.
Windows installation is starting…
Select your Windows 7 system language and keyboard layout and click the Next button.
Click Install Now to start Windows 7 installation.
Accept the Windows 7 license agreement and click on the Next button.
Click Custom (advanced).
We had set the HDD size to 30 GB on the virtual machine hard disk setting window. In this step, format the HDD and create a new Partition.
Next, select HDD Partition 2 and click on the Next button.
Preparing files for Windows 7 installation…
Once you have copied the necessary files, you will see the Windows 7 user screen as below. In this step, define a name for the user name and computer name and click Next to continue the installation.
If you want to set a password, you create your password on this screen. If you do not want to define a password, click Next to continue.
Select the Time Zone for the operating system and click on the Next button.
