How to Install Camtasia Studio on Windows 10 N and KN Versions

If you are using one of the Windows N and KN versions, your system does not have a Media Feature Pack.

How to Install Camtasia Studio Step by Step

Media Feature Pack is not installed by default in Windows 10 N and KN versions. The Media Feature Pack allows you to use media-related programs. However, some programs may require you to install Media Feature Pack on your pc.

For example, if you are using a Win 10 Enterprise N version operating system and you want to use Camtasia Studio, you will not be able to run this program because an update package installation is required..

Before installing Camtasia Studio (Video Recorder Program), you must download and configure Media Feature Pack according to the version of your operating system.

For the Win 10 N 1709 version, you can download the Media Feature Pack update from the button at the bottom of the article to your computer.

How to Run Camtasia Studio 9 in PC

To install it on your PC, first download the Media Feature Pack to your computer and then complete the Camtasia video recording program setup by following the steps below.

   Step 1

Run the Camtasia installation file as an administrator.

   Step 2

As you can see in the picture below, the installation of Camtasia will fail. Because it requires Windows Media Feature Pack.

When you download the required program via the Setup Error window below, you may not be able to continue with the installation because it does not match the version of your operating system.

Close the installation window by clicking on the Exit button.

   Step 3

Before installing Camtasia video software, download the Media Feature Pack and double-click the setup file for installation.

   Step 4

Click the Yes button to install Feature Pack for Windows (KB4039813).

   Step 5

Click on the I Accept button to accept the Media Feature Pack license agreement.

   Step 6

Wait while Media Feature Pack install for Camtasia…

   Step 7

After the installation is complete, you need to restart your computer for the changes to take effect. To restart your computer, click the Restart Now button.

   Step 8

After restarting your computer, start the installation and you will see the installation starts as shown below.

Click the Install button to start the setup and complete the installation!
