As you know, VMware Workstation is a virtualization program that allows you to set up and run many virtual machines on your computer. VMware setup is simple for both Windows users and Linux users.

How to Install VMware Workstation 14 Pro in Ubuntu 18.04/18.1
If you have not installed Ubuntu 18.04/10 before, you can check out the Ubuntu 18.04 Installation with VMware. After installing it, follow the instructions below to setup VM 14 Pro on your system.
The latest version of VM Workstation is 15.0.4. Installing VMware Workstation 15.0.4 Pro in Linux is the same as following instructions.
At the setup window, accept the license agreement and click Next.
Accept the OVF Tool license agreement and click Next.
Select Yes to check for VMware updates and click Next.
Select Yes to participate in the VMware customer experience program, and then click Next.
Type your Linux username and click Next.
Leave the location where virtual machines will be installed by default and click on the Next button.
If you are using HTTPS (443) port on your system, you can set the port value in this step. After configuring the port setting, click on the Next button.
If you have purchased it, in this step, type License Key and click Next.
Click the Install button to start the setup of VM Workstation 14 Pro on Linux.
Wait while setting VMware Workstation.
From the Ubuntu search menu, find the VM Workstation program and run it.
To try VM Workstation free for 30 days, select I want to try VM Workstation 14 for 30 daysand click OK.
Type your root password and click on the OK button.

How to Setup VM Workstation on Linux
You can use the following commands to install VM Workstation 14.1.3 on Ubuntu 18.10. If you get the GCC7 error, you can install the dependent package using sudo apt-get install gcc-7 at the terminal and run it on Linux.
