Type a name for the VM, and then click Next button after you have selected the operating system version.
Assign a 4 GB RAM value for the VM and click on the Next button.
For VM performance, select the Fixed Size option and click on the Next button.
Also, store the virtual hard disk file on an external disk. VM performance will increase if virtual machines’ disk files run on an external disk.
You can allocate 20 GB of disk space. Once you have configured the disk space, click on the Create button.
Wait while creating the virtual hard disk…
After creating a new virtual machine, click on the Right Button / Settings on the virtual machine.
On the settings window, click Storage in the left pane and then Empty. Click on the CD/DVD symbol to add the ISO file and click Choose Virtual Optical Disk File from the option opened.
Select the ISO file and click the Open button.
Run the virtual machine…
On the Linux Boot screen, press the Enter button as follows.
Wait while starting the operating system.
Double click on the ISO setup image file as in the image below.
Select the operating system language and click the Continue button.
If you want to install third-party applications, click Continue button by selecting Install third-party software for graphics and Wi-Fi hardware, Flash, MP3 and other media.
If you are installing Mint for the first time, you should select the Erase disk and install option. If you want to install Linux OS on the existing disk, you can continue with Something Else option.
To do a clean installation, select Erase disk and install Linux Mintand click the Install Now button.
Continue by clicking the Continue button in the Write the changes to diskswindow.
Select the region you live in and click Continue.
Select the keyboard layout and click the Continue button.
Specify a username and password and click Continue.
Wait while installing the Linux virtual machine with VBox.

The steps to setup Linux Mint 18/19 in VBox on Windows 10 has successfully completed. Restart the system by clicking the Restart Now button.
Type in the password you specify and log in to the system.
