and https://www.vandyke.com/download/securecrt/download.html download SecureCRT 8.5.1 to your computer. Step 2
downloading SecureCRT for Linux, move the tar.gz file to your Ubuntu desktop. Step 3
To install SecureCRT on Linux/Ubuntu, press
CTRL + Alt + T to open the Terminal. Switch to the desktop location in Terminal and extract the SecureCRT.tar.gz file to /usr/share/.
sudo tar -xvzf scrt-220.127.116.114.ubuntu18-64.tar.gz -C /usr/share/
After extracting the SecureCRT.tar.gz file to /usr/share/, execute
cp /usr/share/scrt-8.5.1/SecureCRT.desktop ~ /Desktop/ in Terminal to create a SecureCRT shortcut to the Ubuntu desktop.
cp /usr/share/scrt-8.5.1/SecureCRT.desktop ~/Desktop/
To edit the SecureCRT.desktop shortcut, execute
nano SecureCRT.desktop in Terminal.
