How to Install Windows XP in Hyper-V Manager?
Windows XP is the most widely used operating system in computer history. Windows XP uses NT technology and micro-kernel architecture. There are also several versions of Windows XP. These versions are;

Nowadays, the Windows XP operating system is hardly ever used. Because Microsoft ended Windows XP support on April 8, 2014. As a result, Windows XP will no longer receive new updates.

Despite the end of Windows XP support, some system administrators use this operating system to work more efficiently in the test environment. You can install Windows XP using one of the virtualizationprograms, such as VMwareor VirtualBox.
In this article, we will examine the Windows XP installation step by step using the Hyper-V Manager virtualization program on the Windows 10 operating system.

How to Install Windows XP using Hyper-V on Windows 10?
Before moving on to the installation of Windows XP with Hyper-V, if you do not have Hyper-V installed on your system, you can check out Windows 10 Hyper-V Setup. You can also install Hyper-V using the Powershelland CMDprompt.
Follow the steps below for installing Windows XP on Hyper-V.
For Windows XP installation with Hyper-V, run Hyper-V Manager first.
From the Actions panel, click New / Virtual Machine.
Type a name for the virtual machine to be installed. Also, if you want to store the virtual machine in a different location, select the Store the virtual machine in a different location option. And then specify the location by clicking the Browse button.
After specifying the location of the virtual machine, click on the Next button to continue.
Select Generation 1 and click on the Next button.
Set the RAM value for the Windows XP virtual machine. As an example, you can specify a 2 GB (2048) RAM amount for the virtual machine.
Set the HDD size for the virtual machine.
Add the Windows XP ISO file by clicking on the Browse button and then click on the Next button.
The summary information for the virtual machine you created is as follows. Click the Finish button to continue.
In Hyper-V Manager, click the Right button / Connect on Windows XP.
To start the Windows XP virtual machine, click the Start button as follows.
Windows XP setup is checking the hardware configuration of your computer.
Windows XP installation is starting.
The first step in setting up a Windows XP virtual machine is as follows. Click on the Enter button to continue with the installation.
Press the F8 key to accept the Windows XP virtual machine license agreement in Hyper-V.
The following image lists the HDD that you have reserved for the Windows XP virtual machine. Press the C (Create Partition) key to make the Hard Disk ready for installation.
If you want to use the automatically allocated size, press Enter to make the entire disk available.
Hard Disk is now ready for installation. Press Enter on the C: partition.
Format the Hard Disk to the file system you desired. Usually it is continued with the option in the image below. Format the partition using the NTFS file system (Quick), press Enter.
After the Hard Disk is formatted, the files will be copied.
After the installation files have been copied, the virtual machine will restart. If you do not want to wait 15 seconds, you can press Enter to restart the virtual machine.
Opening Windows XP…
The Windows XP installation will be completed in approximately 39 minutes. This may vary depending on the characteristics of your computer.
Configure the region and language settings and click on the Next button.
Type a username for your operating system, and then click Next.
Specify the computer name for the operating system and continue with the installation.
Configure your date and time settings.
Windows XP settings are being saved.
Opening Windows XP…
The operating system image settings will be configured automatically. Click the OK button.
Screen resolution is set automatically. Click the OK button to continue.
Windows Welcome window will be displayed and click Next to continue.
To configure the Windows XP update settings later, select Not right now and click Next.
In the window Who will use this computer, type your username again and click Next.
Windows XP installation in Hyper-V has been successfully completed and is now ready for use. Click Finish to continue.
Opening Windows XP…
Windows XP opened and its desktop view looks like the following.
To view Windows XP properties, click Right Key / Properties on My Computer.
