How to Install Cisco Packet Tracer 7.2.1 on Linux Mint 19?
Download the network simulator program to your computer from here before installing the Cisco Packet Tracer 7.2.1 on Linux Mint. Later, follow the steps below to install Cisco Packet Tracer 7.2.1 step by step.
First, edit the Linux Mint 19 source.list as follows.

To extract the folder of Cisco Packet Tracer 7.2.1.tar.gz folder, use mkdir command to create a folder named CPT72. Then, execute tar -xvzf Packet\ Tracer\ 7.2.1\ for\ Linux\ 64\ bit.tar.gz -C CPT72/ to extract the installation files.
Go to the CPT72 folder and execute the ./install command to start the installation of Cisco Packet Tracer 7.2.1 on Linux Mint.
After installing Cisco Packet Tracer 7.2.1, execute the command ./PacketTracer7 in the Terminal to start the program. If you encounter a libpng12-0 error like the one below, you need to install the libpng package for Linux Mint 19.
To install the libpng package on Linux Mint, execute the following commands in Terminal.
Once you have installed libpng, run Cisco Packet Tracer 7.2.1 again. As you can see in the image below, Packet Tracer 7.2.1 works on Linux Mint!
