How to Install Cisco Packet Tracer 7.2.1 on Kali Linux?

In this article, we will install and configure Cisco Packet Tracer 7.2.1 on Kali Linux, a widely used Linux distribution.
How to Install Cisco Packet Tracer 7.2.1 in Kali Linux 2018?
The latest version of Kali Linux is 2018.4. Follow the steps below to install Cisco Packet Tracer 7.2.1 on Kali Linux 2018.4 step by step.
First, download Packet Tracer 7.2.1 for Linux to your computer and then open Terminal on Kali Linux. At the terminal, execute the sudo nano /etc/apt/sources.list command and add the “deb http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian jessie main” repo address and press Ctrl + X / Y / Enter to save the settings.
1) sudo nano /etc/apt/sources.list
deb http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian jessie main
Once you have updated your Kali Linux repository, follow the instructions below to install Cisco Packet Tracer 7.2.1, respectively.
tar -xvzf Packet\ Tracer\ 7.2.1\ for\ Linux\ 64\ bit.tar.gz -C CPT72/
By executing the above commands, the PacketTracer.tar.gz file will be extracted to the folder named CPT72.
Go to the CPT72 directory and execute the “./install” command to start the Packet Tracer 7.2.1 installation on Kalin Linux. Once the installation of Cisco Packet Tracer 7.2.1 begins, press the Enter key as shown in the following image.
Complete the Packet Tracer 7.2.1 installation on Kali by pressing the Enter key continuously. Once you have successfully completed the Packet Tracer installation, you will receive a message like the one below.
Now, go to “cd /opt/pt/bin” and execute “./PacketTracer7” to run Cisco Packet Tracer 7.2.1.
If you get the “libpng12.so.0” error for Cisco Packet Tracer 7.2.1 on Kali Linux, proceed the next step and install the libpng12 package.
To install the Libpng12 package on Kali Linux, execute sudo apt-get install libpng12-0 in Terminal.
sudo apt-get install libpng12-0
When you run it again, you will see that Packet Tracer 7.2.1 is running successfully on Kali Linux 2018.4 but you will get “libcrypto.so.1.0.0” error like in the following image.

How to Create a Desktop Shortcut for Packet Tracer 7.2 on Kali Linux?
