How to Create Packet Tracer 7.1.1 Start Menu Shortcut in Linux?
In fact, once you’ve created the Packet Tracer desktop shortcut, you can do this shortcut to the /usr/share/applications/ location by copying. But in order to be more understandable, we will create the Packet Tracer start menu shortcut step by step.
On the Linux Mint start menu, type Cisco Packet Tracer in the search field and check if there is a shortcut.
In the previous article, we created a desktop shortcut for Packet Tracer. Now, go to the /usr/share/applications/ location to add the desktop shortcut we created to the start menu and open the folder as Root.
Type your root password and click on the Authenticate button.
Drag and drop the shortcut to the applications folder on the Linux desktop.
To check the Cisco Packet Tracer start shortcut, search and check the Linux menu. The Packet Tracer shortcut will be visible as shown in the image below!
