How to Install Cisco Packet Tracer 7.1.1 on Ubuntu 17.10?

In this article, we will install Packet Tracer on Ubuntu, a Linux-based operating system.
How to Install Packet Tracer 7.1.1 on Ubuntu 17.10 Step by Step?
Before installing Packet Tracer 7.1.1 on Ubuntu 17.10, download the Packet Tracer 7.1.1.tar file to your desktop by clicking on the button at the bottom of the article and move the downloaded .tar file to your desktop.
Follow the steps below to install Packet Tracer 7.1.1 step by step on Ubuntu.
After downloading the Packet Tracer.tar file, open the Terminal on the desktop.
To switch to Root, execute the sudo su command and then go to the desktop in Terminal.
On the Ubuntu desktop, first, create a folder using mkdir PacketTracer711. Execute the tar -xvzf Packet-Tracer-7-1-1-for-Linux-64-bit.tar -C PacketTracer711/ command to extract the tar file.
mkdir PacketTracer711 tar -xvzf Packet-Tracer-7-1-1-for-Linux-64-bit.tar -C PacketTracer711/
View the PacketTracer711 folder and apply the ./install command to start the Packet Tracer installation on Ubuntu. Press Enter to accept the Packet Tracer license agreement.
Press the Space key to quickly read the license agreement.
Press Enter to accept the Packet Tracer EULA agreement. Then press Enter to accept Packet Tracer’s default installation location (/opt/pt/).
After successfully installing Packet Tracer 7.1.1 on Ubuntu, go to the next step to start the program.
At the terminal, execute the ./PacketTracer7 command. If Cisco Packet Tracer 7.1.1 does not open, you will need to install the following dependencies.
apt-get install qtmultimedia5-dev apt-get install libqt5webkit5-dbg apt-get install libqt5script5 apt-get install libqt5scripttools5
After installing the required dependencies for Cisco Packet Tracer 7.1.1, try to open the Packet Tracer again.
As you can see in the image below, Packet Tracer is successfully opened on Ubuntu!
